Post-quantum payments · Development release 0.2

Built for what
comes next.

Post-quantum transaction authorization. GPU mining research. Transparent monetary rules. A protocol taking shape through working code.

Project Boreal is a working concept. No live network, token sale or investment returns. The local ledger is implemented. The final GPU algorithm and public network remain in development.

Ambitious goals.
Measurable claims.

Better infrastructure starts with a testable design. Boreal proposes an independent payment chain built around established post-quantum cryptography, open GPU participation and visible monetary rules. No claim of technical superiority has been established.

01 — AUTHORIZATION

Post-quantum by design

The local ledger validates ML-DSA-65 signatures using an established library. Production wallet integration, consensus hardening and independent review remain ahead.

LOCAL PROTOTYPE IMPLEMENTED
02 — PARTICIPATION

Built to favour GPUs

A research target for mining economics. GPU exclusivity and permanent ASIC immunity cannot be promised. The final workload must earn its place through benchmarks.

RESEARCH TARGET
03 — MONETARY RULES

Capped. Burn-enabled.

A proposed issuance ceiling with 25% of transaction fees burned. Supply contracts when burns exceed mining rewards. The local ledger enforces the accounting rules. A public network is still pending.

MODEL IMPLEMENTED
02 / Supply, without the slogans

Deflation is an equation.

A cap limits creation. A burn removes supply. They do different jobs. Explore how the proposed 25% fee burn interacts with new mining rewards.

net supply change = issuance − burned fees

Proposed start: 10 coins per block, a 60-second target and a halving every 1,050,000 blocks. No premine or developer tax proposed. Integer rounding puts lifetime scheduled issuance at 20,999,999.8635 coins before burns.

Illustrative / per block
5 coins burned+5 coinsSupply expands in this example.

Scenario tool, not a forecast. Fractional values are illustrative; consensus accounting would use integer atoms and round each transaction's burn down.

Read it.
Run it. Question it.

Release 0.2 adds a local signed-transaction ledger, validation tests and developer documentation. Explore the source and distinguish measured progress from proposed features. No wallet connection or payment is required.

The scanner is a conventional ASIC-friendly baseline, not the final PoW and not a live coin miner. Host hash vectors and accounting tests passed. The CUDA baseline and 4 GiB memory probe have now been run on an RTX 3050, with independent baseline-share and sample-lane checks. See the dated status page; final PoW remains unfinished.

Development release / 08 November 2026

Working code.
Visible progress.

The local prototype now signs and validates transfers with ML-DSA-65, checks UTXO ownership, rejects invalid blocks and enforces integer fee burning.

These results describe a local development harness, using trivial SHA-256 work. They do not establish production security or final GPU performance.

04 / Work before launch

Progress has a standard.

Each stage requires evidence before the next. No mainnet date or exchange listing is promised.

05 / Clear answers

The questions that matter.

Is Boreal quantum proof?

No absolute security claim is justified. The proposal uses post-quantum transaction signatures, but network consensus, wallet security and mining have separate risks. Nothing here has been independently audited.

Can only GPUs mine it?

That cannot be guaranteed by checking a computational result. The aim is to favour GPU economics. The supplied SHA-256 baseline is not GPU-favouring and must not be confused with a completed final algorithm.

Does deflation guarantee a higher coin price?

No. Burning supply creates no guarantee of demand, market value, liquidity or miner profitability. There is currently no live coin or price.

Is the name or technology unique?

Boreal is a provisional project name. Branding clearance and a full competing-protocol review are pending. Its proposed ingredients exist elsewhere; differentiation requires measured results.

Where can I buy or connect a wallet?

There is no asset sale or live network. The current release is a research package. Do not send funds or private keys to anyone claiming otherwise.

Evidence before promises.
